Mindfulness has become a popular term in modern society. Let's explore its significant influence on your health, fitness achievements, and overall happiness.
Studies show that a key component for lasting changes in behavior is one's mental state. From my experiences with clients and my personal journey, MENTAL STATE is a VITAL FACTOR that sets apart those who successfully reach and maintain their goals from those who struggle.
Boosting mindfulness can:
- Improve the efficiency of your workouts
- Promote better food choices
- Increase your daily satisfaction
- Support your long-term health and energy
When you are truly ATTUNED and FOCUSED, you practice INTENTIONAL DECISION-MAKING. You take control of your own life's path.
Lacking mindfulness, we often operate on "autopilot," letting our habits dictate our actions.
This is the fastest way to reach a standstill or decline.
Mindfulness is, at its core, a simple concept...yet it's not always easy to practice.
Here are some practical illustrations:
- During exercise, if you're doing push-ups, mindfulness means concentrating on your form and the muscles being worked, thus enhancing the effectiveness of your push-ups. This is referred to as the mind-muscle link.
- When eating, mindfulness entails enjoying your meal, recognizing when you're full, and understanding how it affects your mood. This can guide you to make more deliberate and informed food choices that lead to increased vitality and alignment with your objectives.
- It's about not constantly worrying about future uncertainties or fixating on past occurrences.
Give it a try and observe the changes for yourself.
Today, as you go about your tasks—whether working out, traveling, shopping, working, or doing chores—make an effort to concentrate on BEING IN THE MOMENT.
Even if it's just for a short minute.
When you notice your mind wandering, try to REALIGN with the present. If you find it challenging to fully engage in the current moment, use your breath as an anchor and focus on your inhales and exhales.
Don't stress about achieving PERFECTION...Nobody is fully present and mindful all the time!
However, even a small amount of this practice can greatly improve your daily life.
